I cannot recommend this company to anyone, and here is why: My wife and I reached out to the company Comuneo after our office manager resigned and our HOA board decided to hire a professional management company. After the board, which I am a part of, decided to hire the company we began working with Comuneo’s recommended attorney Jeff Beaumont. Thus, I became a board member client. In the beginning of June this year, I wrote Nick Gambino, our office manager at Comuneo, about a document request a group of homeowners made back in May 2026, since they still had not received documents responsive to the request. In an email, Jeff Beaumont responded “the Association’s records were transferred to the management company and are no longer stored in the clubhouse. Members have the option to contact management to arrange an appointment at their office to inspect the records.” I also made a document request myself and tried to set up a meeting to inspect our association records that, according to the association’s attorney, were transferred to Comuneo. When I tried to schedule a time to inspect the records with Nick, he responded, “Unfortunately, I don't believe coming to our office tomorrow would be the best use of your time. As we discussed previously, many of the documents you requested are already available through the homeowner and Board portals.” I wrote him back and stated that, I did “not recall us discussing previously that ‘many of the documents’ I ‘requested are already available through the homeowner and Board portals.’” I also wrote to him that, out of the 4 items I requested, only half of one item was available on the portal. The other 3 items were completely missing. I went to Comuneo’s office anyway to inspect the documents. This was more than a month and a half after Jeff Beaumont had stated our records had been transferred there, and more than 3 months after Comuneo began managing our association. I met with Nick personally at Comuneo’s office in Woodland Hills, there were no documents for me to inspect. Additionally, I made a request for invoices our homeowners association received from Beaumont Tashjian, which I am entitled to as a board member and a client of this law firm. I spoke over the phone with Teresa Ramos, Beaumont Tashjian’s Executive Assistant and billing contact. She asked if I wanted to receive invoices for all three matters the firm had on file. I said yes, and she said she would send those invoices over to me that day. When I did not receive the invoices, I followed up in writing. Jeff Beaumont stated in an email, “My office misspoke and this confirms there are not 3 matters on file.” About a week after initially speaking with Teresa I went to Beaumont Tashjian’s office. In the morning Teresa indicated that she had misspoken, and there were another two matters for other associations within my city, and that was the source of the confusion. She gave me the invoices for the one matter they said they had on file. After lunch, I went back and expressed confusion, and showed them a check our association had issued them a few years back, and asked if I could get the invoice for those services. Teresa expressed she would provide the invoices for those matters to me on the following Monday. Contrary to Jeff Beaumont’s statements about the firm not having 3 matters on file, the next Tuesday, I received the other 2 out of the 3 invoices for the other 2 out of the 3 matters that the firm had on file. These are just a few examples of negative experiences I have had with Beaumont Tashjian. In my opinion, Beaumont Tashjian operates without honesty, ethics, integrity, and professionalism, and I cannot recommend this company to anyone who thinks these things are positive traits. However, in my opinion, if you are a board member and you want to hire this firm to write demand letters and cease and desist communications to another board member for the purposes of intimidation, in my opinion, this is the right company for you.

I believe that our association is currently undergoing what feels like a hostile takeover led by two board members, one of whom assumed the role of President relatively recently. We are a nonprofit mutual benefit corp. Since inception in 1992, we (the members) have enjoyed protections guaranteed through our bylaws. Among these are the right to nominate candidates from the floor or by write-in, a strong board consisting of 7 directors, a 10% rent cap, the right to voice a dissenting opinion, hold meetings locally in person, and know that decision makers must live in the park, just to name a few. It seems to me that our attorney from Beaumont Tashjian, when hosting a Zoom meeting regarding a complete new set of bylaws, failed to protect the interests of the corporation as a whole under Rule 1.13. In my opinion, the firm glossed over the critical questions submitted by the residents and appeared to prioritize the agenda of specific board members over the rights of the actual corporate body they are retained to represent.
