After consulting with 3 different lawyers, I retained The Barkat's Law Firm, for representation as a defendant in a family court matter. The case quickly became a stalemate which took over 2 years to get the court's decision. Sheraz was always diligent about keeping me updated on the case's progress, court dates orders, required documents, and communications with the plaintiff's attorney. I have very demanding work schedule with limited morning availability. Sheraz accommodated our consults in the evenings, on my lunch break, while I was driving home, and anytime we could match up our schedules. He supplied detailed packets of information request and dropbox access for bulk file transfers to conserve billable consultation time for mandatory direct communications and strategy reviews. I was going to reluctantly agree to a settlement in the case to make it go away, however my conscious and honor would not allow me not to. When I informed Sheraz of my decision not to settle and explained to him why I changed my mind, he fully supported my decision and stuck by me to the end. I feel that many lawyers would rather persuade a client to settle just for their own convenience. I truly appreciate Sheraz integrity, and professionalism throughout this entire ordeal.
