Attorney Connie J. Merwine

I retained Connie Merwine for a Pennsylvania custody/relocation matter and paid approximately $10,000 in legal fees. My experience was extremely disappointing.

Communication was inconsistent, and I often received conflicting instructions. At one point I was told to gather witnesses and prepare evidence, only to later be told not to proceed. I also ended up preparing and filing certain court documents myself despite retaining counsel to handle the matter.

She would also frequently tell me that the judge did not like me and made comments such as, "it's not my problem, I'm not the one going to jail." Rather than feeling supported or properly advised, I often felt intimidated and discouraged. In my opinion, there were multiple instances where information was presented in a way that seemed intended to scare me rather than help me understand the legal process.

My scheduled hearing did not proceed as a full hearing and was ultimately continued/rescheduled. I live in Arizona so it was extremely inconvenient.Throughout the process, I felt unprepared, uninformed, and unsupported.
She was convinced there would be a resolution before the actual hearing, that didn't happen so she was not prepared AT ALL ,but she will expect you to be prepare
and the same sentence tell you not to bring your witnesses. Contradicting.

I am sharing my experience so others carefully document expectations, billing, communication, and case strategy before retaining this counsel.
I am 100% being honest when I tell you she is not worth it.
She will take your money and do bare minimum and then when she's over a case or she's going on vacation for the 15th time she will drop your case.

Has evaded all of my calls, emails, and visits to her Brodheadsville office. Clear evidence of inheritance fraud committed by my family after hiring Connie Merwine to handle my mother’s probate case - still with no resolution on her end for this impossible matter despite my multiple attempts for resolution.

I was working with a lawyer for going on 3 years to get a divorce and Connie Merwine was able to cut through all the road blocks thrown at us and get it done in 6 months! Thank you Connie for helping me to finally start a new chapter!
