Be careful with these kinds of people; they have so many cases that they don't really care—they won't even give you proper guidance. They really did a number on me. They call you right after an accident, but watch out—they act like the insurance company, trying to minimize what happened and settle for peanuts. They made me sign things, and I ended up having to pay my own hospital bills. They have a secretary who handles the calls, but she seems more like a representative for the opposing insurance company; whenever I spoke to her, she’d look for reasons to say, "That's enough—you've already been paid for the car." For everything else, they only gave me $5,000 for pain and suffering, even though I spent nearly five months out of work. They claimed the doctor hadn't explicitly stated I was unable to work during those months. Honestly, be careful with these lawyers. Toyota even indicated they might offer a settlement because the airbags hadn't deployed, but the whole thing was a sham. They really took advantage of me—and I imagine they do the same to many others—but I’m speaking up because these people exploit the Latino community's lack of knowledge. Don't listen to that woman who calls you to talk you out of pursuing your claim just because the lawyer—who is supposed to speak with you—won't do it himself. It’s all just smooth talk once you actually meet him.
