I highly recommend my defense attorney Gilbert with the support of Howard for legal counsel. From the outset, they demonstrated genuine dedication, professionalism, and expertise while handling my controversial and politically charged court case. Their strategic approach, attention to detail, open communication, and steady support made all the difference, resulting in an outcome that was the most reasonable due to the factors of my case. If you need a defense attorney who will truly fight for you, I strongly suggest that you retain Gilbert and Howard. They are experts!

I highly recommend attorney Gilbert to anyone facing a challenging legal situation, especially in high-stake cases. He handled my relative’s court case with remarkable skill, knowledge, and thoroughness, along with an educational component. I learned so much about the various aspects and players of the judicial system that was enlightening. Throughout the process, Gilbert was communicative, compassionate, and fiercely dedicated to ensuring a rational outcome. Thanks to his expertise and tactical plan, my relative received a “sensible” outcome based on the complexity of their case. If you need an attorney who truly goes above and beyond, Gilbert is the one to trust.

I can’t believe I need to write this, but here we are. I was recently let go as a client from Ambler Law due to asking a question. I originally retained Martin Scheller to assist me with a divorce and custody agreement and was very quickly unloaded onto Eleni Simmers who he claimed would take good care of my case. For months following this, Eleni and I had a lot of sporadic back and forth regarding my case and agreement, where she made a lot of mistakes that someone with “Esq.” after their name shouldn't have made. Every time I would ask her to make changes to the draft agreement, it was without fail that what I received back would be incorrect. I was so detailed with my requests, but Eleni did not seem to have the level of intelligence and detail orientation I expected from someone with her title. A person in her position should be competent enough to make correct edits to a document. Additionally, when she made mistakes that she had to go back and fix, I was charged for that time which could be considered theft. To make a long story short, I spent months and THOUSANDS of dollars holding Eleni's hand through my divorce agreement.

Fast forward to January 2026, I am served with papers stating my ex-husband who lives out of state is suing me for full custody of my children. I reached out to Eleni and asked her what the next steps were and she told me that neither she nor Ambler law could assist me with this. The email she sent made it clear that she didn't actually read the documents that I sent over, specifically regarding child custody and that it couldn’t be decided in a different state than where the children primarily lived. She told us to get representation in the state in which my ex-husband lives and stated they couldn’t do anything because of the out of state filing. I wanted another opinion, so I reached out to Martin for verification and, honestly, to ease my worries since Eleni had steered me wrong in the past. A few minutes later, in response to the email I had sent Martin, I received an email from Ambler’s Supervising attorney, Lawrence Vance, with a formal letter stating that our attorney/client relationship was terminated immediately. The letter stated that I questioned the competency of one of their "esteemed colleagues" (which apparently is grounds for immediate termination). Mr. Vance made zero inquiries into why I felt the way I did, nor did he do any research into the situation whatsoever. Imagine a business owner not accepting feedback from their customers who are letting you know that something is very, very wrong.

The split did lead us to our current lawyer (for whom we are grateful and believe we are in MUCH better hands) but, at the time, it felt like being abandoned at the most stressful time in my life. The way this was handled was beyond unprofessional and a huge disappointment. So, unless you want to retain one lawyer, be pushed off onto another one and then be told that you are the problem for having questions because of past experiences, I would look elsewhere for family law representation
