If someone would like to come forward, someone affiliated with this firm owns the building I rent. However, I have only had the pleasure of speaking with Maureen she said she was unable to reach the owner she has been slow and unresponsive to my rental emergency. So this is my attempt at getting some type of resolution, because no one is fixing this. I personally cannot pay for someone to fix it because I do not own the property.
I have paid my rent on time for the past year and a half and someone affiliated with this law firm gladly collects it . I should not have to live without adequate conditions in fifth. Expired fire extinguishers, little to no heat, rodent infestation, bugs, roaches, no fire alarm, my kitchen sink does not work and the heater in my kitchen smokes along with numerous other violations. I called the number on the top of my lease to address these concerns because the maintenance man hasn’t been fixing these issues. The number was to this firm. I was given the run around from maureen and met with violent retaliation from the maintenance man, I had to file for a Peace order against the maintenance man because of this.
Maureen did send out a plumber but they did not resolve the issues so I have been without a working kitchen for nine days now. But according to maureen, it has only been two days because she’s only spoken to me on two occasions.
I advised them that I would be putting my money into a rent escrow and maureen told me I could not do that because I would get an eviction notice. 😆 so the law firm really doesn’t know the law?
So ask yourself this question? If someone affiliated with this firm allows, allows it’s paying tenants to live in an uninhabitable building and refuses to fix things or communicate in a professional manner would you want them to represent you and your time of need?
