We had our consultation on Friday with George. He was informative about what we are facing. Laid out the map from start to finish with all potential avenues we might face so there should be no unexplained curve balls. Answered all our additional questions; we went in with alot of reservations about our situation, but we feel more confident of what's next. Thank-you for your professionalism, humor, empathy, and knowledge. Will be looking forward to our next appointment.

I have used this firm for roughly 7 years off and on. I have not only referred them but used them personally for a myriad of different reasons.

The first time around, I had Joy and she was very responsive and good at her job. I can say with confidence that Joy is one of the best lawyers I know.

Years later, I used Matt to draft real estate paperwork for the purchase of a home. Again another perfectly detailed and quick experience.

The next time, I was anticipating on hiring Mary C. At that time we met one time, and she wrote lots of notes and we made a plan. After that it was silence, Mary left me hanging for weeks on communication and quickly left the firm before she could start my case.

Then after that, I was told there was a new family lawyer, Taylor. I used him one time and he appeared at court still tucking in his shirt and tying his tie. I was extremely nervous about this court case, and Taylor stared off into the wall behind the judge most of the hearing. He was very unprepared, had none of my files in the right order and shuffled through stacks of documents quickly as if he was going to suddenly come up with whatever paper he was trying to find. I gave this man pages of documents and pictures dated and in chronological order, I even personally printed all the evidence he needed for this case. He had issues staying on track and being professional during the court hearing and even the judge got annoyed with him, and asked Taylor if he was even ready to represent me. Absolutely embarrassing behavior. Just that one hearing, and no communication between us cost me the full retainer that we agreed on. Several months later, I received another bill stating I still owed $40. This should have been my red flag to not return to this law office - Very odd billing situation here.

Then against my better judgement, I gave Amy Z a retainer of $3500 the same day I met her for my initial consultation. Heads up, she will charge you for that time but not tell you until afterward, surprise!! After the initial consultation, there was complete silence for almost 4 weeks. I sent an email asking for a status update, she said she had other matters to care for and just now figuring my case out. Amy asked for calls, emails and one zoom meeting during a 2 weeks span after I requested a status update on my case. I complied with her requests, but Amy was rather unorganized during every meeting I had with her. At that point, I asked if I could just have my retainer back since she hadn’t set a court date nor served the other party any paperwork regarding my custody matter. Quite frankly, I did not want to pay a lawyer to just read emails between me and her. Later that week, I picked up an itemized bill and a very small check as a refund of services. I have asked the firm to review Amy’s billing as I do not believe it’s even close to accurate. I find it hard to believe she did even close to $2800 worth of work in that 2 weeks span of focusing a few hours “reviewing” my case.

— As of today’s date, there has been no resolution and no communication on the deplorable billing system at this firm. I have spent thousands here, historically speaking, and even at that, they do not care about your years of loyalty.

I hired Taylor Call from wolf river lawyers and I have had nothing but problems with communication, Taylor doesn’t listen, he is constantly looking at his phone, he doesn’t fight for his clients, he can’t even reply to an email. After 3/4 of my divorce is complete (only because I did all the work) I received an email only after 3 phone calls and having to have the office person go into his office and tell him to respond to me, and the email was to inform me he is leaving the firm and will no longer be my lawyer effective 2 days after I received the email. The kicker is I was with Taylor the morning before and he couldn’t even say anything in person.
But it’s not all his fault. The billing department is absolutely horrible. Don’t expect any communication or explanation. All you will hear is crickets.
