This is an update to a previously written review here and in Yelp where they have only 1 star rating:
4 years after the mess that Craig Combs created for Cityscape HOA he lost the case, putting HOA in almost 100k debt. If he wouldn't advice to take an advantage of situation and make money from damages that HOA created in my condo back then they would be free and clear now.
in 2020 HOA insurance company offered to cover all damages but Craig Combs advised to take an advantage and find a cheaper contractors to keep the insurance proceeds difference. His strategy to frighten and threaten to take an easy advantage of people didn't work this time around. As a result he was fighting this case for over 2 years free as insurance declined to accept the merits of the case that he created. During our civil trial he has changed all the colors becoming super nice friendly guy.
Once trial has finished he is back to his real personality, no response and no care.
P.S. I also found that he lost another case with different HOA in La Jolla to a homeowner.

Original review from 2020
In support of Yelp review I confirm that this law firm uses unfair practices to take advantage of people not well aware of law. Pretty much sure lawyer uses the same unfair techniques with the clients when it matters. This is real review and each fact can be supported by written communication with Craig Combs.

He was representing Cityscape HOA that caused multiple floods in my condo by clogged main drain pipe that was not properly maintained. In order to achieve quick results he was violating CC&R rules of proper service with hope I wouldn't find out. Instead of giving 3 day notice by mail he sent email with 2.5 day notice. Unfortunately for him, he had to service me all over again.

Moreover he was abusing the power given to him as to attorney, kept threatening that will sue me without having legal merits and break my door locks to access my unit using a locksmith. Local HOA rules were not allowing to access my unit without presence of an emergency. He knew about the regulation but hoped I wouldn't find out when he was threatening me. He has been warned about any attempt to break into my condo will end up him or anybody else being held in police station for property trespassing.

He was protecting our HOA interests that tried to steal money given by insurance company to restore my property. During our conversation he multiple times threatened with the lawsuit in order to achieve my compliance with HOA requirements, misleading about property rights, referring to a not related CC&R articles, tried to prove illegal activity on my end. Everything failed through. That is against fair play rules set by the California Code of Professional Conduct.
