I’d like to share a strong recommendation for my attorney, Barry Witt. Four years ago, I went through a highly contested divorce in Washington State. After being awarded custody of my nine-year-old son, I relocated to the Bay Area. Recently, circumstances required me to seek a family law attorney again to help navigate ongoing challenges and ensure my son’s continued safety.

Paid Cash, Got Embarrassed – Unprofessional and Unprepared

I paid my retainer in cash, expecting real representation. Instead, I got terrible communication, rude office staff, and a lawyer who showed up to court looking disheveled and completely unprepared.

When it was time to speak to the judge, all he said was: “I was just hired on the case.” That’s all. No effort to advocate for me. No preparation. It was humiliating — I looked and felt like a fool in front of the entire courtroom.

If you’re going through something serious like a family law case, stay far away from this firm. They made one of the hardest moments of my life even worse.
