They represented me for about 2 weeks, charged me $10,000, and are still claiming I owe more than double what I initially paid.

I am writing this to warn others. In urgent legal situations, clients are vulnerable, and in my experience this firm charged excessive and unjustified fees while providing no value.

Their billing practices and lack of transparency were unacceptable. Work was performed without my authorization, while other tasks required approval.

During that time, they submitted one motion that did nothing for my case. Nothing.

Their billing included multiple attorneys, paralegals, a case manager, and a new attorney in training, Joshua Lovelady, despite my request not to have inexperienced staff assigned. I repeatedly requested billing explanations and documentation, but they were not provided. After requesting clarification, I received an email from the firm administrator, Faith Fisher, stating: “STOP. Do not continue to engage.”

The attorneys who later took over my case resolved everything successfully without the issues this firm claimed required extensive “fixing.”

The initial consultation cost $600. Mr. Willick appeared unprepared and uninterested. His hourly rate is $700 p/ hr and I only retained the firm due to urgency and having no other options available at the time.

I found both Mr. Willick and the office administrator to be rude and unprofessional in their communication. I also did not feel the service matched the firm’s repeated claims of being “the best.”

I apologize for not posting this review sooner—my custody case was over a year ago—but I feel it is very important to share my experience because I cannot recommend Marshall Willick and his team highly enough.

Mr. Willick represented me in a highly emotional and stressful termination of parental rights case due to the father’s prolonged absence from my child’s life. From the very beginning, Mr. Willick demonstrated a remarkable level of professionalism, confidence, and legal expertise. He was strategic, deeply knowledgeable, and exceptionally articulate in his communication, which immediately gave me reassurance during the most difficult period of my life.

My primary concern throughout the case was protecting my 3½-year-old son, who has autism and ADHD. Maintaining consistency, structure, and routine was absolutely critical, as any disruption could have had a serious emotional and psychological impact on him. Mr. Willick understood the sensitivity and importance of this from the outset and ensured these concerns were clearly and effectively presented at every stage of the litigation.

In the courtroom, Mr. Willick consistently demonstrated his command of the law and his ability to advocate with precision and clarity. During one hearing, opposing counsel attempted to interrupt his presentation, but the judge intervened and allowed Mr. Willick to continue because he was addressing the matter in a focused, efficient manner aligned with what the court needed. That moment reflected not only his credibility, but the respect he commands in the legal setting.

Throughout the case, I devoted a tremendous amount of effort to gathering extensive documentation, including medical records, school records, therapy records, character references, and other supporting evidence. Mr. Willick was incredibly thorough in reviewing everything, clearly distinguishing what was essential, what would strengthen the case, and what was not necessary for trial. His ability to streamline the case and focus on what truly mattered was invaluable.

Mary Steele was also an essential part of the team. She was consistently prompt, highly organized, and extremely detail-oriented. Every time Mr. Willick provided direction or requested documentation, she executed quickly and accurately. Her responsiveness and efficiency made the entire process feel structured and manageable, even under significant stress.

Ultimately, my case concluded the day before trial when the father voluntarily signed over his parental rights. This outcome was life-changing for my family, and I truly believe the preparation, strategy, and unwavering dedication of Mr. Willick and his team played a critical role in achieving this resolution.

I also want to recognize Faith, who handled billing matters with exceptional professionalism and patience. She took the time to clearly explain every detail of my invoices and ensured I fully understood the billing process, which made an otherwise stressful aspect much easier to navigate.

Despite how emotionally and legally challenging this process was, I always felt supported, guided, and genuinely cared for from start to finish. I felt like my situation truly mattered, and that level of care made a profound difference during such a difficult time.

They are absolutely worth every penny. When dealing with something as serious and life-changing as custody and parental rights, having a legal team that is intelligent, compassionate, respected, and fiercely dedicated to achieving the best possible outcome makes all the difference. I strongly and wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Willick and his team.

I dealt with one of the Attorney's, and Victoria who also handled all of the correspondence. They went above and beyond to help me. I wasn't in contact with my ex, and she keep searching, and even contacted him to get the information he was keeping from me. She kept me updated every step of the way, and explained things when I didn't understand the process. I appreciated the extra effort, and their kindness in a hard and touchy situation.
