To the owner and Kalandra Wheeler: I Called your office on 8/24/26 @ 2:14pm. A female front desk picked phone call. She told me directly that because the defendant is Harris County, a government entity, the rate could be even higher than the $250 initial consultation fee and then asked me to decide whether I still wanted to schedule a consultation. She also said that there is NO any time guarantee for that $250 consultation if I did not want to pay for an initial consultation, she could simply give me a referral list to another attorney's firm. I have to say, I am genuinely curious: in today’s market, when so many attorneys offer free initial consultations in order to evaluate potential cases, is every attorney at your firm really so in demand that your firm charges $250 just to speak with someone? What concerned me even more was that your front desk emphasized that there was NO guaranteed amount of consultation time. In other words, I could theoretically pay $250 and receive only a ONE MIMUTE conversation. I would really like to understand what makes your firm so exceptionally high-end and special that this is how prospective clients are treated from the very first phone call. Your receptionist spoke to me less like someone trying to help a potential client and more like the owner of the firm, almost as if the goal was to discourage people from becoming clients at all. If that is the client-service approach your firm has chosen, then good for you.

Unless you have deep pockets and no hard evidence so they can get as much out of you as possible they won't take anything you have avoid at all cost
