I thought I was hiring a competent attorney instead I had an appointment,I arrived early and found him in his chair with his wife/secretary sitting on his lap not being professional.

Maybe his wife or girlfriend works with him, but some things should be private.

I of course decided to just quietly leave. I don’t think they even notice.
