Won’t pick up the phone now after I called them three times at ten am this morning. Most likely they have my number flagged and just won’t discuss with me again. Research their contract with the board of supervisors that is publicly available online. This organization represents criminal matters that pose a conflict to the public defenders office where the public defenders office has a conflict. In these matters where the court appoints an attorney, the law offices of Virginia M Blumenthal, or Blumenthal & Moore, APC is appointed. While they are paid to provide representation they don’t offer it in house and instead hire outside contractors. These outside contractors are only supposed to have a set amount of clients per the program and any that go over ninety days are supposed to have a status review to correct and fix issues. I reached out to the said “Supervisor” Mr. Exum today for the third time over four years. I finally got a response which was basically that he had no knowledge of the case or anything. This organization represents a systemic breakdown of the constitutional right to provide effective counsel. It is extraordinary that they have gotten away with this for 14 years now defrauding the county of millions in funds while getting paid to only do plea agreements. To wit, no witnesses interviewed, no discovery provided to me by six of their attorneys. I have none today and a new trial date in a month after going through this case for five years. No motions filed and no meaningful work done. The one time in five years I met an attorney outside of a court date finally I had to fire him via a Marsden motion for continuing the same pattern of denied legal counsel. This should be highly illegal and you would figure eventually the outright fraud going on would be investigated but for years I’ve been unable to get any traction on my own case, much less help arresting, prosecuting or at least shutting down this outrageous organization that engages in active fraud against the county. What fraud? They don’t follow their own contract with the board of supervisors. Routinely just don’t show up for court hearings, have billed for five years of representation to me that was never actually done.

This is 100% NOT what business is at this address. I drove here to speak with somebody, ANYBODY...it's all boarded up. I called their number to ask the new location only to be told they have no physical office. How are people dealing with court cases supposed to handle anything, especially when the attorneys don't answer the phone/respond to any attempts of contact. For anyone that gets assigned to an attorney at this firm, switch to any other place. QUICKLY!

Worthless group of attorneys. The gentleman who answers the phone was extremely unhelpful and useless.
