We contracted with Vince Viruni Law firm in 2022 to handle an MHIC claim against our kitchen contractor. He assured us that he would be able to help us. After racking up several thousand dollars worth of charges (ok, he did deduct $1,820.32 as a professional courtesy-he also recommended a consultant who wasted a lot of time and then disappeared off the face of the earth) and spinning our wheels, we parted ways. Why, because we paid a retainer fee for $1,750 and when it was exhausted, we received no notification (if it's not standard, it should be, you are dealing with your client's money) that it had been exhausted nor was there any real advancement in our case. The only tangible effort made was the submission of the claim form to the MHIC and that was submitted with errors. We will give credit where credit is due, the 2nd consultant that you recommended was a godsend and was crucial in our case. Lucky for us, we found an excellent law firm (not a law firm that you recommended) that helped us win!
