I retained Charles Vethan under a contingency arrangement during active litigation. He withdrew mid-case, then immediately turned around and sued me for attorney's fees, including a contingency fee I dispute he ever earned. He filed a motion for summary judgment against his own former client.

After months of litigation, he recovered nothing.
Simultaneously, his firm was handling my federal trademark application. Following his withdrawal, I received no notice of critical USPTO deadlines and no proper transfer of my client file. The application was abandoned under his watch. I discovered this months later on my own through the public USPTO database. By the time I found out, the window to revive it had already closed. I was forced to restart the entire trademark process from scratch.

When I requested my complete file, I was told there was nothing to transfer. When I requested revival of the original application, the firm unilaterally filed a new one without my authorization instead.
One engagement ended with him suing me. The other ended with my trademark dead and my file missing.

If you are considering retaining this firm, get every obligation, deadline, and withdrawal procedure defined in writing before you sign anything. — stay aware of Charles Vethan and co

wanted to take a moment to share my experience. I am a healthcare professional in Phoenix, Arizona, and previously managed four COVID units at a local facility. After stepping away for two months, I accepted a position in home care with a company based in Waco, Texas. As a single mother, returning to work was important, so I accepted their offer. As part of the employment agreement, I was required to sign a non-compete that restricted me from working in 15 of the 18 counties in Arizona, the state where I was born, raised, and have worked for over 21 years.
After nearly four years, I left the company. Within three weeks, they filed a lawsuit against me and came on aggressively, represented by Littler Mendelson. Since the case was required to be handled in McLennan County, Texas, I searched for legal representation and came across Vethan Law Firm online. I explained my situation to their team, and shortly after, I was connected directly with Charles Vethan, who confidently assured me they could take on my case.
From that point forward, I felt supported every step of the way. This firm truly values people and understands the financial and emotional weight of legal battles. They were thoughtful with their approach, strategic with costs, and treated my case with care and urgency. During some of my most stressful moments, they provided steady guidance and helped me stay focused.

Joe Lanza, LaQuasia, Charles himself and the entire team were exceptional. Their professionalism, communication, and dedication were beyond impressive. When you are in court and Charles starts pacing that is the sign its about to really get going (in a positive way)
Most importantly, we won the case. I cannot recommend this team highly enough to anyone in need of strong, compassionate, and super highly capable legal representation.
