My vehicle slid on a snow-covered unplowed city street. I slid into the curb not realizing that the back of my vehicle also hit a tree. Thinking I had only hit the curb because everything seemed fine, I drove away.
Unbeknownst to me, someone notified the police.
Days later, I was issued a ticket for leaving the scene of an accident and another for driving too fast for road conditions. Joseph Blata was able to get the fine reduced considerably, no points, nonreportable accident, and the speeding ticket dismissed.
