My experience with Rachel Kula, Senior Attorney At Tressler Law Edina Office, was good until it wasn’t. Her Paralegal Blake was consistently professional, helpful and compassionate. About one month before the last contact I had with Ms Kula, she stopped returning my calls and replying to my emails. I also felt manipulated by her during this period, to “play the game”, her words, when I went against my hitherto actual wishes and allowed her to be overly aggressive right before the decree had scheduled to be signed. Shortly afterwards I reverted back to my long-standing original plan. From my decision to do that, Ms Kula made false accusations that I broke an agreement, and she never acknowledged my explanations to the contrary. I did not break that agreement between us. At $20,000 in, every payment made on time, Rachel Kula wrote me an email that she refused to sign the decree because “it was not a good enough deal” for me and “ethically I cannot sign it.” I explained my own ethical reasons for wanting to sign the decree, having to do with family matters. Ms Kula told me “you can find a new attorney or represent yourself.” I just turned 73 years old. Her firing me felt cruel and punishing. Later I read on the website bio that she “works closely with her clients to achieve their desired outcomes.” Her email also added that I was barred from the entire Tressler Law Firm and that future communication could be conducted with the (lovely) administrative assistant Suzanne to pay my final bill, etc. That was it. Abandonment. I do not recommend Rachel Kula as a divorce attorney, definitely not for older women, as she failed to listen to what I wanted and, in the end, only worked for her desired outcome, which was to go to trial. To have abandoned a 73 year old client out of the blue, right at the end, after taking all that money, and having failed to deliver the guaranteed outcome……Yes. That really happened to me.
