I hired Tresp, Day & Associates for a family revocable living trust and estate planning package before my family's military PCS relocation overseas. I paid approximately $5,000 with the expectation that the agreed-upon services would be completed within the scope of our attorney-client agreement. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing. Despite full payment and multiple requests for completion, the estate planning documents were not finalized until I placed a payment dispute and filed a complaint with an appropriate agency. The only draft I received contained significant errors, including misspelled family names and omitted assets that had already been disclosed. When I requested that these issues be corrected, I was told additional fees would be required for revisions that I believed were already included in our agreement. It took months for the law firm to correct misspelled names. I also requested itemized billing records after being told that the included hours had been exceeded, but I never received an accounting statement. To make matters worse, several scheduled meetings were cancelled or delayed while my family was facing strict military relocation deadlines. As a military family, we depended on timely, competent legal services. Instead, we were left without completed estate planning documents during an international move and felt our concerns were not taken seriously. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this firm. I encourage anyone considering hiring them with time-sensitive legal needs—to carefully review the engagement agreement, request detailed billing records, and document all communications throughout the representation.
