After seeing Attorney D. Watts represent a different individual, I asked that person who his attorney was and put that name in my phone. Atty Watts seemed to be the opposite of the representation I was getting. He was well dressed, composed, confident, and appeared prepared. Fast-forward 6 months, and I was ready to switch criminal attorneys. I called this firm, and what I WILL SAY for them is that both times I engaged them (at about 6 and 8 months), they were VERY responsive and got me the info I needed to make a decision. What was very disappointing was that they wanted to operate on a flat fee. $10k that I initially thought I was told would get me from where I was with my current attorney through trial, if needed. What I was told when I RE-engaged and was ready to put the $$ down was that, "No, it's $10k to pick up the case, and $5k PER DAY for trial." So at that point, even though I had a plea agreement (that I rejected) ready to be signed, and the only "next stage" was trial, they wanted $15k. It was as though they were telling me they didn't want to take my case without telling me by making it ultra cost prohibitive. This was a misdemeanor for which there were 5 files in discovery totaling about 20 pages. So while I'd have loved to give them a 5 star review, I was just really turned off by the lack of "let's meet and discuss" or any genuine assessment. It was "put up or shut up." I'll go try for a PD or State appointed attorney, and absent that, I'll let AI help me through court. What I'm not gonna do is pay a couple of cruise vacations worth of money to beat a misdemeanor that's basically child's play for an attorney that really looked at the case.

Absolutely the best criminal defense lawyers. They made magic when magic seemed impossible. Highly recommended and very well deserved. Understanding, professionalism and extremely thorough is an understatement. Attorney Jonuzi and all the partners were absolutely masterful.
