When I reached out to attorney Jennifer Feerick, I was overwhelmed, distressed, and unsure how to navigate a school system that seemed it had turned against me and my child. Jen approached me not just as an attorney, but as a mother who truly understood the weight of what I was carrying. She spoke with calmness and clarity, helping me make sense of a complicated situation in a way that was straightforward. Jen knows law inside and out—her knowledge is exceptional and it shows throughout the conversation. She anticipates the moves and tactics of school districts, but she never loses sight of the fact that at the heart of it all is a child who deserves the best chance at learning and thriving. Her ability to blend strategy, knowledge, and compassion is exceptional. However, what struck me most was her combination of legal expertise and humanity. She is honest and transparent. She is not the type of lawyer who is out for money, causing unnecessary fights for a large bill. You can feel immediately that she cares about you, your child, and the outcome above all else. She takes the time to explain what the law says, how it applies to your specific situation and what options you realistically have. That honesty, coupled with her integrity, made me feel safe, respected, and supported in a time it was needed. I came to her feeling defeated, and I left feeling empowered with a clear plan, renewed hope, and a sense that I could reach someone capable that was a phone call away to help our family. She has the rare gift of being both a fierce advocate and a compassionate guide. If you are a parent struggling with the complexities of special education, know that with Jen you are not just hiring a lawyer-you are gaining a partner who will stand beside you, and fight for your child’s rights & family’s well being every step of the way. I am grateful to Jennifer Feerick for her advocacy, her brilliance in the law, her compassion as a fellow mother, and her unwavering integrity in the field. She is truly excellent.

I had an issue with the school district and Tollner law provided some consultation that paved way for my decisions that ultimately resulted in getting my kids successfully transferred to another school. This all happened in consultation and I did not sign a retainer as it never escalated to that level (we were about to if we were not able to transfer our kids out). Super Professional!

The cost was reasonable, compared to current attorney fees, for the deep consulations. They were very kind and generous to me and helped me get a solid settlement for more tutoring for my child from the district. My attorney, Emily, was responsive, made the legal side of things easy to understand, and had really good suggestions every step of the way. I cannot recommend them more highly for families of special needs children who are not getting what their school/school district what they should.

They quoted a retainer to simply review mediation and IEP documents that was higher than the combined legal fees I'd paid other attorneys for representation at the school district in a mediation and defending an expulsion that created the documents I just wanted read over. When I questioned the retainer amount, they insinuated it was 'too much' for me and then rescinded their new client offer. Seemed thin skinned to be effective lawyers if I was too abrasive. Onboarding process took weeks as well.
