I had a challenging experience with Trevor at Thorpe Law. Unfortunately, I felt that my concerns and evidence were not adequately supported or represented, which resulted in a less favorable outcome than I expected. Throughout the process, I found that my resources were significantly impacted, and I did not feel that my case was given the level of support and dedication I had hoped for. Additionally, I was disappointed with the litigation aspect of the case, as I believe there was a lack of effective objection and advocacy when it was most critical. There were also delays and issues with initiating time with my kids, and I felt Trevor did not advocate strongly enough for me to spend meaningful time with them, which led to missing out on important moments. While I understand that legal cases can be complex, I believe there were missed opportunities to effectively address the issues I faced. This was my personal experience, and others may have different outcomes.

I had the most expensive worst experience with this law firm in my divorce. I had to continuously follow up and then was charged for every single response at the maximum rate. Unlike other law firms, the billing was erratic and I got a huge unexpected over $30k charge that contained questionable items that had to be cleared up. Other law firms use assistants to answer routine emails but these folks just appear to want to milk their clients. Since moving to another firm, I have experienced awesome follow up and timely feedback. I have had a few quick emails and chats that were given gratis. Divorce is stressful as it is and these folks don't seem to care or have sympathy. In fact I was told to get therapy if I wanted sympathy or empathy and that I should expect to be screwed in the process. Frankly, the complacency I witnessed makes me wonder why they are recommended by anyone. Anyway, perhaps I am wrong as I have heard that while you have their attention they are awesome. But that was not my experience and it is sad in that I really like to be positive about folks. One last point is that one of the people that we used for a financial analysis seemed to really get my case and made some points that when I mentioned them to these lawyers, they said "we will never recommend them again." I also was threatened in an email that they were going to stop working for me when I asked for monthly billing, which had been agreed to via a phone conversation (and was actually part of the working contract) which was the last straw for me!
