This is the closest a legal organization comes to corruption and extortion - out of greed and gross negligence. I paid my fees as a lawyer this year but it was too close to the deadline so they retroactively deactivated and suspended my license. I made a second payment (totaling about $2 grand) and I’m still in no man’s land. I can’t work until their bureaucracy addresses this. The state bar is a total disgrace to the practice of law.

I have no faith in this wretched state's legal system. I got screwed by an attorney without a valid written contract. Instead we have a retainer agreement where his ex-partner forged my signature. Eventually my attorney made an oral agreement with me with proof of an email confirmation. He even induced me $15K if I accept opposing counsel's offer as opposed to holding my own offer. Despite the clear-cut evidence, this faithless entity sat on my complaint for 7 months until the investigator assigned to my case, Jeanette Alcon, sent me a pathetic response. I decided to file suit on my own against my former attorney. While filing suit I later on discovered my attorney may have accepted additional monies including my Howell special damages I am entitled to and double legal charges. I am disheartened to have wasted over three years of my life and burned $20,000 to deal with a biased judge who tells me he does not see the forgery nor the other evidence I submitted. Yet, the judge—Honorable Randolph M. Hammock—does not have the moral fiber to sign off on the judgment. Rather the court enabled the attorney to enter his own judgment while acting on behalf of himself.
