In December 2025 I received a speeding ticket and contacted traffic attorney Aerial Chatman after being referred to him. He sent a DocuSign waiver of appearance, which I signed, and I paid $250 to place my case on his schedule for the court date.

Two days before court I texted to confirm I was still on his schedule and received a reply confirming. On the afternoon of the court date, after not hearing anything, I texted asking about the outcome and was told the ticket amount would be due within 40 days and that court payment information would be available online within 24 hours.

When I later checked the court website before making payment, my case status showed “call and fail.” When I contacted the courthouse, the clerk stated that when the case was called the attorney was not present in the courtroom.

I followed up by text and email requesting clarification but did not receive a response. I also emailed the law office outlining the timeline and communication regarding my case and requested contact, but have not received a reply.

While reviewing publicly available court records during this process, I noticed other cases this year that also reflected “call and fail” entries associated with this attorney.

I have retained records of the communications and timeline related to this matter.

VERY poor communication. Their excuse anytime you want to speak or make an appointment with a lawyer is that “ they are in trial” . You don’t get any updates as promised on top of nobody in the office is on the same page ... don’t waste your money . Wouldn’t recommend to anyone
