This man has known my family over 40 years. He was accused several years ago of molesting a young child and we helped fund this guy's defense. Being a family friend, I referred a friend I've known for 20 years to Jim and am unbelievably appalled at how his case was handled. The documentation for the divorce was inaccurate and Jim charged this client to correct mistakes the lawfirm had made. They sent over inaccurate info to the opposing attorney and spelled the guy's name wrong. This happened multiple times. Jim was over 2 hours late to mediation, which the client had to pay extra $$ to the mediator and of course was charged by Jim. Jim continuously pressured this client to pay large sums of $$ toward a $40,000 fee. The client paid $30,000 within a few months and the remainder of about $10k had been paid down to $3k over the course of a couple of years. This client tried to contact the office several times regarding the remaining amount and could never reach anyone to resolve given being over-charged for the mistakes that never were removed from billing. The $5000 retainer was also never put towards this client's bill, and after having not paid for a couple of months, Jim has come back to this client asking for $14,500.00 and started garnishing his client's wages when this could have been settled very easily with a face to face appointment, or even a phone call. Jim is not in touch with reality or what is even going on in his own office and I know this client is not the only one in this situation. This guy is a total crook and if I could give negative stars, I would!!! Real piece of work you are Jim... thanks for destroying this man's life!
