I wanted to personally give thanks and sing the praises of the Moses Law Firm. They have an extraordinary group of attorneys that have tirelessly fought for me and my organization for many years. I interacted with this law firm (pro se) as a Limited Power of Attorney for my grandson who is the Executor of His late Fathers Estate, after filing a complaint with the New Mexico Real Estate Commission concerning one of the firm’s clients, a licensed Realtor. Attorney Lucas N. Frank was retained to represent the Realtor and related parties. After being retained, Mr. Frank instructed me to communicate only through him, and I fully complied with that request throughout the matter. The issues involved multiple aspects of a real estate transaction, including the sale of property, estate-related matters, and project management. Throughout our communications, Mr. Frank maintained that his client’s role was limited. I disputed that position based on text messages, project communications, city records, and other information that I believed reflected a broader involvement. During the representation, I repeatedly requested documents that I believed were necessary to evaluate the positions being taken on behalf of his clients. These included invoices, receipts, keys, estate-related records, project documentation, and supporting documentation for factual assertions being made. I was advised that documents would be provided, but I never received the documentation I requested, including an itemized explanation or supporting records for an invoice presented during the closing process. Rather than providing the requested documentation, I was repeatedly told there was no written contract supporting my position. My requests for records that I believed would clarify the disputed issues remained unanswered. Mr. Frank later advised that he considered the matter closed even though my requests for documentation had not been resolved. He also advised that if I contacted his clients regarding these matters, he would seek a restraining order. I found this concerning because I had complied with his instruction to communicate only through him. I responded by asking how he expected me to resolve the outstanding issues if he was not going to provide the requested records and I was not to communicate with his clients. I never received a response. Before posting this review, I documented my concerns in writing, submitted multiple requests for the records I believed were necessary, and forwarded my complaint and supporting documents to Meritas, the firm’s professional network. Meritas acknowledged receipt of my complaint. In my opinion, the lack of professionalism, communication and failure to provide the requested documentation unnecessarily prolonged this matter and increased the time and expense to their Clients, and me. All this required was to address issues that I believe could have been resolved through open communication or mediation. Based on my personal experience with Attorney Lucas N. Frank and this firm, I would not recommend hiring them.
