Big mistake. I hired this company 2 years ago to handle my eviction, and it was a horrible idea. They were incompetent. The secretary sent me docs that should have private for other people's cases. They filed the case with typos in the name of the tenant, and so now the garnishment is for someone who doesn't exist and the record doesn't show when other landlords look her up. Then they failed to deliver the papers the sheriff needed to schedule the eviction day. I called many times and after multiple emails and days I had to go down and deliver the papers myself to get the process to actually happen. The sheriff has heard from me begging and calling so frequently, she called on April 2 the day after the eviction actually happened saying the attorney's office finally delivered the papers. If I had waited for them I would have been delayed many weeks more. This attorney was a horrible experience and a waste of my money and time.

TL;dr: Hire Ambry Emanuel at Meador if your insurance company wrongfully denies your claim. She’s amazing!

Basically, the homeowners insurance company approved my claim for a corroded sewage pipe replacement and authorized repairs, and then 2 days later their 3rd party company denied my $9400 claim based on fine print and refused to pay (turns out this is called estoppel and is illegal!).

When Ambry took on my case, she was very patient and clear in explaining to me the process and the legal language. I felt that the legal jargon she taught me really gave me an advantage and confidence when speaking to the insurance company, showing them we meant business. She was also always prompt with her correspondence, and clearly communicated every step of the way. I would have been stressed and lost navigating this alone. She really saved the day for me, and had plans for each next step if we needed to escalate to court. She’s kind and professional, and really knows her stuff.

Ambry wrote an extremely well-organized and intelligent letter that clearly stated case law, past case history, and references related to my case. It was honestly so impressive; there were even footnotes. I spoke on the phone with the supervisor of my State Farm claims agent, informing him of the sequence events that led to my denied claim and to expect a letter written by my attorney.

The next day, I emailed my agent the letter written by Ambry. Literally seventeen minutes after it was sent, I received notification that State Farm would be paying the entire claim as promised!

I am delighted that she was able to obtain what was rightfully promised to me under state law, and we didn’t even need to go to court. 10/10 would recommend Ambry and Meador to anyone!
