We saw Marta last Tuesday, February 4th to address the matters of my mother’s estate and end-of-life affairs. My mother was recently diagnosed with a debilitating disease affecting her eyesight. I had known Marta for a few years prior, but this was the first time that my mother had met her. My 30-year-old daughter Jessica suddenly had a brain aneurism in August 2024 which required brain surgery and left her incapable of decision making. Marta's team represented us in court for what was an extremely smooth guardianship hearing. Jessi had over $50,000 deposited in Citizens Bank. For reasons unexplainable, following the guardianship hearing Citizens forced us to close her accounts and forced us to take a check made payable to Jessi's "Estate". Citizens also refused to open a guardianship account where we could have simply transferred the money. The term "Estate" concerned us, implying that the money would be unavailable until Jessi was deceased. We will need the money for future medical expenses. In less than a day Marta had called on her contacts in the banking industry and arranged for WSFS to open the needed guardianship account and accept the "Estate" check. I was amazed at the speed and efficiency which Marta and her team exhibited on that day. We have nothing but praise for The Marta Firm.
