Looking back to my divorce case, all I remember is the Lawyer who was only focused on his profits. I have a lot to say about my mishandling of my divorce case by Sean Cox office. It is my civic duty to provide feedback as a client for others to be aware of my experience. Can provide specific examples of mishandling of my case to anyone interested. Wishing you the best if you're going through divorce. Do your homework before selecting him!

21 May 2026-I noted my reviews, I thought to add a few examples.
example 1: during my divorce process 3 para-legal who were working on my case quit the job. I had to start re-sending all my documents again to the 4th para-legal which cost me time and money considering the fact that I lived in CA.
example 2: In one hearing, during the virtual court session, Mr. Cox had to leave the room. The court mediator asked for Mr. Cox, the other attorney who took his place said, Mr. Cox was booked to be in another hearing.
example 3: Every time I met with Mr. Cox to discuss the follow up, I had to explain my case all over again for the first 15 minutes as he had no clue what my case was about. He showed up on Teams meeting un-prepared.
example 4: He never educated me on how to be prepared for mediation meeting. I had volumes of documents to present. Apparently, in mediation the conversation was what I said and what my ex-wife (soon to be) says. I am asking him please request $1000/month alimony. He's trying to convince me to $1400/month to pay. After, back and forth discussion between Mr. Cox and the other party Attorney, $1000/month was agreed and I have one more and a few months to pay.
example 5: I kept requesting Mr. Cox to Subpoena my ex-wife bank account, he kept asking "how much do you think she has in that account?" My response was, I know she has significant amount. The subpoena was kept delayed until after mediation. I ended up paying $500. Waste of my money and time. Then, Mr. Cox after mediation was over and settlement was agreed upon, said, if I want we can reopen the case. Which means I paying more.
example 6. In several occasions, I found mistakes in documentation by Mr Cox office, first, I was changed for it. When I pointed out the mistakes, the I was refunded.
example 7. I had lots of documents organized and prepared and so badly wanted to go in front of the judge to present my case, Mr. Cox convinced me that, I will ultimately win if we resolve everything in mediation. Of course, divorce is unpleasant and it's not about winning or losing. Please, Please anyone reviewing my feedback, do your homework. Divorce cost me a lot because I did not have an Attorney to work for me. It doesn't have to be you.
