Regardless of what they say, it will not change my very negative experience as a client. After a non-exhaustive Google search, I chose this firm to handle what should have been a routine post-divorce 401(k) rollover. Their lawyer told me the process should take three to six months at most. Instead, it took two years and cost thousands more than anticipated. Despite providing accurate information, I spent well over a year dealing with careless errors and missing information in required documents, including incorrect addresses and confusion on their side between my retirement plan and my ex's. I do have an email from a legal assistant, who has also since left the firm, apologizing for yet another address error. The attorney assigned to my case eventually left the firm which I was never told. After months of being ignored, I emailed to follow up and was finally informed that the attorney had left and that another lawyer had taken over my case. This was all happening about a year after I retained them. Unfortunately, changing lawyers did not improve anything. On multiple occasions, documents submitted to the court still contained incorrect information that I had already corrected in writing more than once. The firm also sent incomplete information to the 401(k) company holding the funds. The frustration grew with every passing week, month, and year. The delays forced me to have repeated uncomfortable conversations with my ex, and every day the funds remained outside my account, I lost potential investment earnings. The prolonged process also created unnecessary stress that I did not need more of. My experience reflected a complete lack of professional courtesy, poor communication, and inadequate attention to detail from their side.
