Dr. Baez was great in helping with my husband’s case. It was a slightly frustrating process but not at the fault of Dr. Baez. He answered phone calls and provided updates as they were available to him. I really appreciate the urgency and professionalism we experienced with him throughout this process. Additionally, I would like to say his fees were made clear to us from the beginning, a fee of $10,000 for the initial part and if the case went to trial we would have additional costs. Thankfully he was able to get the case dismissed before having to go to trial so I can’t speak on the additional charges but I would like to clarify he was very clear on the initial cost and possibility of future cost in the event the case goes to trial. He was very honest and made us feel confident in him and the case getting dismissed.

I hired Attorney Baez on June 6, 2025, because on his website, he states he had 26 not guilty in two years. At the time of retention, I specifically informed Attorney Baez that I wanted an examining trial. He advised me that the fee would be a flat fee of $10,000, which I paid in full, in cash.

After retaining him, I experienced ongoing difficulty communicating with Attorney Baez. He was frequently unavailable and stated on at least one occasion that he was busy with other clients. I reminded him that I was also his client and that I had paid the agreed fee in full. When I attempted to ask legal questions about my case, he responded by stating that I was telling him how to do his job, rather than addressing my questions.

Attorney Baez delayed filing motions in my case and, after filing them, allowed them to sit for extended periods of time before seeking hearings, sometimes waiting months. As trial approached, Attorney Baez informed me that he would require an additional $10,000, and later $25,000, to continue representation through trial, despite having previously quoted a flat fee and having accepted full payment.

After accepting my payment, Attorney Baez ultimately filed a motion to withdraw from my case, leaving me without retained counsel and forcing me to request court-appointed counsel. His withdrawal and delays prejudiced my defense and occurred despite my full payment and repeated attempts to communicate and move my case The 26th forward.
After further investigation, the 26 not guilty have come to not be true , based on false advertisement. I would never have hired attorney Baez based on dishonesty.
