I would not recommend Ms. Catrina Young if you are looking for reliable legal representation or a serious advocate for your case.

However, if you want an attorney who has you draft your own petition only to later edit it at her convenience removing key details you originally provided and then billing you to “fix” those omissions, this may be the experience you receive.

After collecting a retainer, she did not attend my first court date, leaving me to represent myself despite having paid for legal counsel. During a later court appearance, a dispute with the judge regarding her absence and courtroom communication escalated to the point where she was removed by a bailiff, which negatively impacted my case.

She stated she would file a motion on my behalf but failed to do so for weeks. Despite repeated follow-ups, she claimed to be on vacation without service, yet was still intermittently responsive and advised there was “no rush” since the court date was the following month. A draft motion was only produced after my new attorney formally took over the case.

When I chose to terminate services, there was no objection to ending representation, but there was a clear disagreement regarding the return of my retainer. The billing I received did not reflect the level or quality of services I experienced, and my documented concerns regarding lack of communication, representation, and follow-through were ultimately disregarded when I requested a refund of unearned funds.

Overall, this experience was unprofessional, frustrating, and financially damaging. I strongly advise others to think twice before retaining her services. I am all for uplifting one's business and services. However, when services are not just, I feel it is important to inform others so no one will potentially experience the same challenges.
