Had a phone consultation with Mr. Steven Harris. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. Didn't BS me into anything or try to sell me on services his firm provided. He gave honest, straight forward answers to the questions I had.

I would not recommend The Harris Firm LLC for divorce representation. My experience, which extended from November 2024 to February 2026, highlighted several significant issues.

Initial filing error: The firm filed my divorce in the wrong county, causing avoidable delays. I was subsequently charged for rectifying this mistake.
Staffing and communication problems: The firm transitioned through three paralegals, and there was a pattern of delays in correspondence between my response and opposing counsel. If I did not actively follow up, little to nothing progressed for weeks or even months.
Inconsistent case status: An attorney informed me via email that the judge had signed off and I was officially divorced, but two days later a different paralegal stated they were still working on my case and might need additional information.
Administrative errors: The final balance was sent to an address not associated with my account & current last name.

Overall, the experience was frustrating and inefficient, and I would not recommend this firm based on how my case was handled.

This law firm was far from professional! The "legal receptionist", Virginia, is absolutely rude, has a bad attitude, and has ZERO phone etiquette. Because of this "first impression", I decided to see another attorney for an uncontested divorce and it was a lot cheaper! Money wasn't the issue, but I would rather work with a firm with a little more compassion/professionalism.
