This experience was disastrous. Cynthia A., was the GAL for the case. She handled the case with so much carelessness that it left us with no hope but knowing the money paid and to far in there was no turning back or change of plans. Her curt attitude was on display several times. As the GAL she should have shown concern for the child her client if nothing else. She does not display respect. Paying for services not rendered is more like fraud, theft or scam. She lacks excellence and accountability. No one's perfect but she did not try.

We have the highest respect and gratitude for the experience we had working with the Center For Family Law. Anyone in the position to need representation and counsel in Family Law knows it is a particularly draining area of law to navigate through - financially, mentally, emotionally. When we had our consultation, we met with Courtney Green. What we were seeking counsel for was to find new representation in a case that had now reached 2 years of dragged out, pending matters and nearly $25k of attorney fees with our prior attorney - and with no progress, resolution, or end in sight. Our case was complicated and involved multiple matters within 1 case number - we were defeated and drained. We met with Courtney and within the first 10 minutes, we already felt hope and confidence from her that we had not felt in the entirety of the case before this point. She came prepared. Like I said, our case was complicated. It had combined 2 separate, unrelated issues within 1 divorce, into one case number.. had dragged out for over 2 years - And Courtney was already caught up to speed on the history or case filings/pleadings from her own research before even meeting with us. She was prepared with a set of questions for us to fill in any blanks, outlined all goals we wanted to achieve, gave a clear and honest explanation of fees, options, potential outcomes, advice and insight. She truly listened to us, as well as answered all of our questions with such clear and educational, well thought out and thorough answers. She had to catch up quickly and jump in prepared with short notice. She provided us in a brief month (understanding that all cases are different), the ease of mind, confidence, answers, and closure of the case in what we could not even get close to in the 2 years and devastating atty fees we had spent with our previous atty, who was at a lower hourly rate than Courtney, yet incomparable to the value we received or cost us once with the right law firm and attorney. We can’t speak her praises enough. She was professional, engaged, honest, generally pleasant to work with in what had become the most unpleasant part of our lives and she resolved it for us. We were proud to have her represent us and we highly highly recommend her to others in need. Good legal representation can make or break what becomes either an investment vs a drain and with Courtney and The Center For Family Law you are in good hands. We are grateful!

I contacted Kristen Sparks at the Center for Family Law in St. Louis regarding my case. I was quoted $3,000 and asked to pay a $2,000 down payment, which I paid. I also promptly provided all of the documents and information that were requested. That was more than eight months ago. Since then, I have contacted Kristen and her office numerous times asking for updates on the status and progress of my case. Most of those attempts have gone unanswered. A few months into my repeated attempts to get an update, I finally received a brief email stating that I would receive a draft that week. Unfortunately, several more months have now passed, and I still have not received the draft or any meaningful update on my case. I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and progress after paying $2,000 and providing everything that was requested of me. At this point, I am requesting a refund of the $2,000 down payment I made. I will update this review as the situation develops.
