I hired Summer to probate my mothers estate. I have emailed her no less than 6 times in the last 2 weeks and left voice messages with no reply.

I called Mrs Walker Nov of 2019 on a custody case. Payed my dues to her. We finally got a court date Jan 2020. We went to court everything was good, she did everything I had asked and we won. We were going to use her so my wife could adopt my son. We’ll COVID hit, things got tight so we weren’t going to move with the adoption just yet. Called, emailed, texted so many times I probably would’ve blocked myself, throughout 2020 no answer or anything. Finally does tells me had family stuff going that’s fine I know everyone does. Then she finally gets back with me says she’ll send me a final bill “ASAP” exact words. That was 2 months ago still no word from her.

I have not heard from her in weeks after trying to get a hold of her by email and phone. No response. I have a few loose ends left to tie up in my divorce and she has dropped the ball. I don’t feel like I was represented fairly and I will have to find a new lawyer to finish up my case.

Update: Summer has been in touch since the review was posted.

About 2 months ago, I had submitted a negative review about her work and shortly after, she started responding and getting things moving forward again. So I removed my review but left my stars. I have been working with Summer since the beginning of March of this year (2020) to get my uncontested divorce done. After receiving payment, she disappeared for a little more than 3 months. After posting my review, she promptly emailed me and apologized and informed me it was a personal/family emergency (totally understandable) and that none of her colleagues or staff at her office were on the same page as her and didn’t continue her work for her. I then received my first draft of papers to get signed. After needing to revise the papers, I was able to get in contact with her fairly easy considering the time before, we had a phone conversation and I was told that the new set of papers would be emailed to me the following day. It has now been over a month, and I have yet to get my new papers, even after having sent multiple emails, calling her cell phone and office several times, and even trying to go to her office (With no luck, obviously). I am VERY unhappy with the lack of communication, the length that this process has taken, even after being told it would only take around 3 months, and the lack of professionalism. She seems like a nice woman, but wouldn’t recommend if you are wanting anything done within a certain time frame.

UPDATE: 2/4/2021

Summer reached out and explained as best she could her reasons for being unprofessional. I gave her yet another chance, with the same thing to happen. The last email received from her was December 8th, 2020. I have since gotten a new lawyer. Things that I was told by her regarding legal matters in my divorce do not really match with what my new lawyer has been saying. Kind of a red flag within itself.

UPDATE: 3/11/2021

I filed a report with the BBB (Better Business Bureau). She was unresponsive to them as well as myself (still). They sent her the notice of my complaint 2 times and never got a response. My case is now closed with them, and they will be making a report regarding her and her business to post on their website, if they haven’t already.

Conclusion: Take your business elsewhere. Her practice is only what I can describe plain and simply as, a money hungry fraud.
