I called another attorney to see about starting a case and was apparently transferred over to this attorney after getting a TEXT to schedule an apt. Lorene administrative assistant requested my address and email in this text before speaking with the attorney. I advised to her I was uncomfortable with that but was willing to provide this information after speaking with someone since they randomly contacted me. Scammers are getting highly efficient. With this I choose to be more on the cautious side and didn’t feel comfortable providing personal info to someone whom randomly text me. I also get so many unsolicited emails after providing my email to people that emails of importance get lost in the shuffle. These said companies are promising not to use your email other than “official business matters” and end up sending emails daily for ads requesting your business or their sister companies etc. I told Lorene I was uncomfortable multiple times sharing my personal info in the manner she requested. I am fully aware her intent was to use it to confirm my apt. but once again I was uncomfortable. I had an apt set for today and I text to confirm my apt time with her. She text back stating she canceled my apt. because I wouldn’t supply an email and home address. I also have circumstances going on related to my case which limits my access to email, texting, computers. She continued to play this power struggle back and forth. She wasted my valuable time and resources. If this behavior is present this early on then it leads me to believe future business will be a little rocky. Lack of trust for the offices abilities to show good customer service as well as respect clients boundaries when clearly stated. Business is not a one way street there needs to be respect on both sides. Once I spoke to someone and felt more comfortable then of course I would supply my email and personal address without any problems. I strongly suggest if this post is something you are also passionate about then I would move on to a different attorney which is exactly what I did. No problems at all and this attorney’s office will now be taking my case. I suggest that HR follow up on this matter as it could mean loss of future business for you.
