This guy handled a real estate closing for me years ago and made a major mistake—he left the previous owner’s 10-year-old grandchild on my title work. When I went to him to fix it, he demanded $2,500 upfront. I let my closing attorney handle it instead, but he still insisted on being paid upfront and refused to let them deduct the cost from my closing funds. He acted like the mistake wasn’t his fault at all.

I ended up taking him to court, and he told the judge a completely fabricated story. He claimed he had explained to me that the seller had no money and that any title corrections would be my responsibility. Not only was this untrue, but he also tried to countersue me for $5,000 to cover his legal fees, which the judge ruled was not justified. It felt like he was doing everything he could to intimidate me into dropping the case.

Throughout this whole ordeal, I had very little communication with him because he didn’t represent me but he spun this elaborate tale in court about how he was helping a poor old lady sell her land and that she couldn’t afford to pay him. He never once disclosed to me that he wasn’t even a licensed real estate attorney and had no idea what he was doing.

I have utilized the services here several times over the years. It has always been a very professional and reasonably priced experience. It’s best to have an appointment. This lawyer is highly respected in the local community.
