I retained Anthony Kalikas after I was injured in a car accident in May 2019 on the 52 east downhill headed into Santee. The accident was not my fault. I was rear-ended on the freeway while still in motion, which caused me to lose control and slam my front end into the shoulder wall, and the impact was hard enough that my seat came loose from the floor and slammed into my legs, leaving me with a right calf injury that required ongoing care. It was a very traumatic accident, and I was dealing with both the physical recovery and everything that came with navigating a personal injury claim afterward. **Also, I had originally left Anthony a review after my case was resolved, but it seems to have gotten lost over the years, so I wanted to refresh it, so here we are years later. :) My case took almost two to three years to resolve. COVID 2020 hit right as we were getting into the process, and there was also a lot of back and forth specific to my situation. The courts were closed, and proceedings were backed up, and you know how that goes... The length of time was absolutely not because of Anthony, but it did show me how persistent he was. He worked diligently, stuck with me through the entire thing, communicated well, and always kept me informed. I never felt like he was rushing to settle just to close the case. He kept working until he felt we had explored every available avenue to make me whole. He guided me through the care I needed, including physical therapy, chiropractic care, and various specialists, while always working with my preferences. During my deposition with the other party’s attorney (where they dig into the timeline, details of the accident, the pain I'm experiencing, the doctors I saw, etc...), he was right there advocating for me and stepping in when questions became repetitive, or inappropriate. What impressed me most was how thorough he was. When the insurance coverage initially seemed limited, Anthony kept digging and found additional coverage that significantly improved my settlement (I believe it was the insurance of the driver + the insurance of the owner of the vehicle; dont quote me). Point being he won't stop until he's satisfied with his work. He doesn't take the easy way out or the lazy route! He'll look into things you wouldn't even think to ask about. Years later, I still appreciate how hard he worked for me. I recently reached out to him again about something separate, and it reminded me why I trusted him in the first place. He’s genuinely a nice guy, easy to talk with, trustworthy, very professional, and knows his stuff. He's been doing this for years. I would absolutely recommend Anthony, and if I ever needed a personal injury attorney again, he’d be the first person I’d call.
