Months ago, I met with Phillip about an unclaimed property matter. He stated he was going to the courthouse that afternoon and would have an update for me I thought that same day.
To be respectful of their time, I deliberately waited a full two weeks before checking in. When I finally called back, the stonewalling began. For over three months, I was trapped in a loop of being told to "call back later," only to be treated like a complete stranger every time I did.
Because they claimed I was exaggerating my outreach during a rude phone call this morning, I pulled my actual cell phone logs to include. I made 9 separate calls over a span of 101 days March to early July ( trying to not call all the time and trust they’d call back ) This firm did not return a single one of those calls. Not once. My calls often came in pairs because *their* staff explicitly told me to call back later in the day or the next morning.
A few weeks ago, I was finally told there was documentation ready to be mailed to me. Yet when I called this morning for a status update, Tara gave me the exact same line: "I don't know who you are, what you're talking about, and you haven't been talking to me." When I tried to explain that the issue wasn't the waiting, but the fact that I was constantly being passed off and forgotten, she became completely defensive. She sarcastically told me that if I didn’t mind waiting, then why was I complaining?
Tara was raising her voice and being so rude that a coworker, Sheila (who seemed to be her boss), had to step in and take over the line. Sheila tried to smooth things over, acting like she would take care of everything and playing the reliable professional, but by then the damage was done.
I am completely fine if a firm cannot or chooses not to take a case. What is entirely unacceptable is stringing a client along for over 100 days, instructing them to call back, and then treating them like a nuisance for doing exactly what was asked.

Don’t get in no hurry, and don’t do what is asked. Misleading to put you off trying to buy time. This office should have had signatures from other party for deed after the other party got paid. Here it is a month later saying they forgot to get their signatures. They’re incompetent and unprofessional to say the least. Unsatisfied customer. Will never used them again!
