She seemed dismissive at first but she’s really focused and dedicated. She was my nephews court appointed attorney. She did great representing him. Thank you Ms Gilbert.

Tomeka Gilbert is my son’s public defender she has not been doing her job from jump a whole yr past and she never once looked at my child’s paper work different ppl from her office call and talk to my 22 yr old son like he’s their kid Tomeka even told my son to take probation on charges that someone else had already took time on she told my son it didn’t make her one way or another because she goes home every night now it’s something different every time she calls my son needs to do this he needs to do that or he going to jail my thing is when it gonna be her job to represent these innocent young men that’s she’s supposed to be representing it’s not never her job but she’s getting paid she’s a sad excuse for a lawyer and a black lady

I had the pleasure of having Mrs. Gilbert represent me in a legal matter. She kept me updated with my case, and stood on business. I was very satisfied with the outcome, and walked away victorious. Trust her process, she knows what's she's doing.

Communication and representation. This is so important, especially for legal matters. It went great at first but after a while it would take weeks or months to get a proper response. I would ask questions and my emails would be printed and put on the desk for Ms.Gilbet to get to when she got back in office. I would wait a couple days and send a follow up. Nothing. This happened quite often. Not to mention after my trial date I was told she would reach out to me so I waited. I would email and ask when that would happen, message was pased on. This went on for a WHILE. she did call on mlk day but I was at work and didn't get to answer. Then I was told to make an appointment to talk after 2 months of waiting. Many emails I have that still are unanswered and many questions, even recent that are unanswered. Now this didn't happen all the time, just to clarify but it happened often. I felt my representation in court could have been so much better as well but I'm not gonna go there. First lawyer I ever got, she was the only one I spoke to before hiring her. I didn't know what to ask. What to look for. Well I know now.
