Charged me $325 for less than an hour of time. Kinda expensive, I think....

Never used papers because said I wouldn't and they were wrong forms to use in court all I can say is wow

Herb at the Self Help Center has been an invaluable resource for me as I try to represent myself in a horrific illegal eviction against me. He's been quick to answer my calls and most questions as I learn how the local small claims process works, and doesn't work. His experience and ability to get right to the point have helped me learn to focus and not get too emotional, and to educate myself about the ins-and-outs of not just the laws, but how they're enforced.

As many hours as I've put in on internet research, being able to talk with Herb occasionally has given me the confidence and knowledge to do the right thing in pursuing justice in small claims court.

The lawyers are more than I can come close to affording, and the laws seem to be written so they're as hard as possible for the lay person to understand. Factoring in the local interpretations and enforcement of the laws, I'm grateful for Herb's dedication to helping people like me who've been victims and have limited funds and knowledge to defend themselves.

I get it's the cheaper alternative but don't go to this guy. He'll give you half info or straight wrong info. If you want to find out you didn't do everything you were supposed to and receive a fine that you should never have gotten give this guy a try. In the long run this guy won't save you any money and will probably cost you more.
