If I could give Emily Gold and Select Law zero stars, I would. Hiring Emily Gold was one of the biggest mistakes I made during my divorce. I retained her because I needed someone to protect my interests during one of the most difficult periods of my life. Instead, I left feeling unheard, dismissed, and completely unsupported. What was most disappointing was what I believe was a lack of diligence with the details of my case. I repeatedly raised concerns about my ex-husband's financial discovery and identified what I believed were missing assets, discrepancies, and incomplete disclosures. I wanted these issues carefully reviewed before any settlement discussions moved forward. Instead, I felt my concerns were repeatedly brushed aside, and I never had confidence that the discovery had been thoroughly analyzed or that the questions I raised were fully investigated. Rather than aggressively pursuing complete financial information, I felt I was being pressured to accept a settlement that was overwhelmingly favorable to my ex-husband despite unresolved financial issues. I never felt like we were working together. It felt as though my role was simply to follow directions instead of being an active participant in decisions that would affect my financial future for years to come. From the beginning, I felt like I was an inconvenience rather than a client. Every conversation felt as though speaking with me was a chore. When I asked questions or expressed concerns, I was often met with a condescending attitude that made me feel foolish for wanting to understand my own case. Rather than taking the time to explain my options, I frequently came away feeling as though I should simply accept whatever she told me because she was the attorney and my input didn't matter. I expected my attorney to advocate for me, scrutinize financial records, identify inconsistencies, and ensure that every relevant issue was addressed before asking me to consider settling. Instead, I was left feeling as though expediency was being prioritized over protecting my interests. After paying thousands of dollars in legal fees, I was left feeling that I had to choose between continuing with representation I no longer trusted or representing myself. I chose to represent myself as I had nothing left to pay another attorney with. No client should ever be put in that position. Divorce is one of the most emotionally and financially devastating experiences a person can go through. Your attorney should make you feel heard, respected, and confident that they are genuinely advocating for your best interests. That was not my experience with Emily Gold or Select Law. If you are considering hiring this firm, ask how thoroughly financial discovery will be reviewed, how discrepancies will be investigated, and how often you can expect meaningful communication. Those are questions I wish I had asked before hiring Emily Gold. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend her representation.

I have Legal Resources insurance and was directed to Select when I decided that it was time to revise my wills. It was very easy to work with them, in that they gave me an intake form to collect information, to which I added a scan of my existing will.

They set up a telephone consultation to go over things and worked pretty quickly to drafts together, including my will along with related documents, including health directives. They were very good about answering questions and making a few tweaks at my request, and then were able to set up signing,

The whole process went very smoothly, and I would happily recommend them!

I had a great experience with Select Law Partners. Going through a divorce is difficult, but from my first consultation to the end, they provided exactly the support I needed. They were completely transparent about the proceedings and kept me informed every step of the way. Mr. Danelli and Ms. Clifton are true professionals and exceptional attorneys. I highly recommend them.

So far I have been charged 600$ and paid 200$ for a consultation and the only thing completed is a conference call. I also somehow no longer have a court date. The deal offered to me was better before Emily Gold got involved in my case. She also did a consultation with me even though there was an obvious conflict of interest. Every email I received from her is full of typos and I honestly believe she was drunk when she wrote them. When I brought up these issues they did nothing to resolve them. Furthermore she has sided with the other party and their attorney on everything. I will be in touch with the bar association and encourage others who had bad experiences with them to do the same. These aren't lawyers, they are scammers.
