My experience with Nick Dandurand was very disappointing, primarily due to a lack of communication and preparation.
In the weeks leading up to my trial, I sent multiple emails requesting updates and guidance, but did not receive responses.
Several emails also appeared not to have been opened. I also made phone calls in an effort to prepare, but was unable to establish consistent communication.
He did not appear at a scheduled pre-trial hearing, and I was not notified in advance.
As the trial date approached, I did not receive meaningful guidance regarding case strategy or preparation.
During a phone call, I was advised to tell a subpoenaed witness not to appear. When I attempted to follow up for clarification, I later received a voicemail directing me not to contact the office further until the court date.
Due to these issues, I felt unprepared and ultimately retained new counsel shortly before trial, which resulted in additional cost and stress

STOP: If you’re considering SDHMR Law Group, or working with Nicholas Dandurand, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere.
My experience was frustrating from start to finish.

Communication was poor and inconsistent.
Getting clear answers or even timely responses felt like a constant struggle.
For something as serious as legal representation, you expect attention to detail and a sense of urgency. That simply wasn’t there.

Despite the firm’s claims of experience and professionalism, the actual service did not reflect it.
I felt like just another case number rather than a client whose situation mattered.
There was little reassurance, strategy, or confidence provided throughout the process.

Overall, I left feeling disappointed and unsupported.
I would not recommend this firm if you’re looking for strong advocacy or reliable communication.

I would not hire Nick Dandurand again under any circumstances.

From the beginning, the experience felt disorganized and inattentive. Important questions went unanswered, and getting even basic updates required repeated follow-ups.

There was a noticeable lack of urgency throughout the process.
Deadlines and key moments did not seem to be treated with the seriousness you would expect when someone’s legal situation is on the line.
Instead of feeling represented, I felt like an afterthought.

What stood out most was the absence of clear communication and direction. I was left uncertain about strategy, next steps, and what was actually being done on my behalf.
That kind of uncertainty is unacceptable when you are relying on legal counsel.

In the end, the experience felt more like managing my own case than having an attorney.
I would strongly advise others to look elsewhere for representation.
