I am very careful about how I rate professionals as
serving the public is not an easy task.
Which is why Atty. Short gets ONE star.
I had a family court matter and I needed the best
Raleigh could offer so I contacted the Rosen Law Firm.
For my situation they referred me to Ryan Short.
Who had since left and started his own firm.
On our initial consultation I paid $500 upfront
and he was a no-show. He refunded the money
and I had to try it again. He told me my case
would cost $3000 for starters for him to appear
in court with me. I paid the money yet he
NEVER met with me to discuss my case.
He never responded to any emails and never
answered any voicemails I left him.
Unsure whether or not he would show up
on my court date I prepared ALL the evidence
needed to help my own case.
On court date ..He showed up yet he was not
prepared and had to go retrieve my CVD file
from the courthouse. Of course being
unprepared benefits him, as an Ace card he
can always ask for a continuation which
means more money for him, and this was
something I simply was not willing to do.
Luckily I had plenty time to prepare for my
case and I had composed a very neat and
organized file of my case. Any request
by the plantiff's Atty. was met by due
diligence of my behalf of preparing my
own case. Long story 'short'....Ryan
came up short. Very short. He was not
professional, but hey he already had my
money. This was 2019 .
Rosen Law Firm sold me a lemon!!
My advice to anyone when seeking
counsel...Do your own research and prepare
your own jacket of evidence and have
all info pertaining to your case neat and
legible . Prepare your case as if your
Atty. wont show up and you were left
alone defending yourself.
In essence that is exactly what I paid $3000
for. Defending myself. And I did a dam
good job because even the plaintiffs
attorney gave me the 'nod' of good job!!
