Calla is the best divorce attorney in Ellis County or surrounding counties. Her receptionist, Marissa is very helpful. Would recommend anyone who is going through a divorce.

Extremely unresponsive, but you have to continuously call/email in order to keep them working on your case. I assumed they were doing their job and just left them alone for the first 3 months after hiring them and absolutely nothing was done. I didn't find that out until I called multiple times to finally get them on the phone. Again, multiple times throughout my case they would just leave it sitting if you don't call literally everyday to keep them working. You have to call everyday because they will not answer or return voice-mails. It's the same issue of untimely responses after my case was finished and I was just trying to pay my bill. So maybe they are just so busy they don't have time to give peoples cases the attention they need? I also wasted another 3 months after talking with Calla about the offer to be sent to the ex-wife to split our assets. Again, i assumed Calla sent the offer over as her and I had discussed. After months of waiting and no counter/word from opposing council, I finally got my ex-wife on the phone and she said they never received any settlement offer from Calla. Ask Calla and her people to send me over the offer they had sent to opposing counsel and (surprise, surprise) it was never sent. Me and the ex wife ended up just talking it out and coming up with how we would like to split everything ourselves. While the ex and I talked it out, Calla was setting up mediation (which was only needed because the settlement offer she was supposed to send was never sent).

To sum it up, they are either extremely too busy to take on more clients, or very unprofessional and don't care about their clients. Either way, they will make your case take months and months longer than it should. If you don't call and keep them working on it, it will sit with no progress for months at a time (but don't worry, they will be sure to bill you every time you have to call them to get them to do their job 🙃).
