I've completed multiple closings though Roper and Wilson and have been pleased with their work each time. They have helped us sort through complex transactions and always quickly respond to any questions or concerns that come up through the process. Could not recommend them highly enough!

This attorney handled my closing. Firstly, his communication in emails confused my Father, who was helping me purchase my house. My Father grew increasingly frustrated over this. He finally got what he needed after long email threads. Does anyone pick up a telephone to make an actual call anymore? One must to try and clear up bad communication.
Now, onto the second part of the complaint. This was my first house purchase experience. He flew through the thirty pages of documents without caring if I understood or not. It was not an environment where I felt comfortable to speak up where he and the others would have patience with me. I really didn’t know the majority of the time what I was signing. After I left the closing, I didn’t have the documents I signed. I repeatedly called, emailed and texted this person asking him to send these to me. I didn’t want to travel to his office again. One of the important details I needed ASAP was the deed. I couldn’t get the water or other services connected till having that in my possession. He texted me “What’s your email?”, that’s all. I didn’t know who the text was from because he didn’t identify himself. No response was given when I addressed that lack of information.
I did receive the deed in an email after that and in the postal mail after it was filed. But never an apology or even acknowledgment that I tried several ways and times to contact him for the documents he was paid for by my family to execute. He acted after my real estate agent physically paid him a visit. I finally received all the documents in an email three or so weeks after closing. Unbelievable neglect and obvious lack of professionalism following up with me. If I were you the reader I would never use this attorney for anything. His lack of communication is appalling. And, as we smart ones know, if you don’t have good communication, you’ve got nothing!
