Derrick is wonderful. His name was given to me by an attorney friend for dissolution of my daughter's marriage. He responded almost immediately to my email introducing myself and my daughter's case. We arranged to have a 15 minute free consultation.I spoke to him by phone a day or two later in September, 2023, asking his availablity for January 2024. I explained my situation. He listened well, gave suggestions for the case for the future. Although he had a big case coming up in January , I was to contact him early 2024. When I did, he said he was indeed too busy to take my daughter's case but gave me the names of two attorneys in the county with whom he was very familiar and who would be more than qualified for the situation. My daughter spoke to both of them and chose one. She is now working closely with an attorney she likes and trusts, thanks to Derrick. If Derrick had been available, she and I would have chosen him from the moment either of us spoke with him. He took my daughter's calls and emails several times after the initial consult, gave her advice, and listened to her concerns even though he was unavailable to take her case.
