The initial consultation was pleasant and optimistic and Mr. Rouse confidently stated that he would advocate on my behalf for a traffic situation that was over seven years old and contigious with an identity theft situation I have been experiencing the effect of since 2002.
The following day Mr. Rouse spoke to the prosecuting attorney whose failure to keep her word caused me to have a warrant for my arrest in Guilford County. And the bail bondsman from the earlier arrest informed of this warrant, this is why I needed an attorney in the first place. I live in New York and was trying to avoid coming to North Carolina. In the course of Mr. Rouse's conversation with the prosecutors office the prosecuting atty said I was lying about the identity theft and Mr. Rouse basically concurred in spite of the fact that he was MY attorney. In short Mr. Rouse is a classic stool pigeon worse than a public pretender because he doesn't even work for the DA. Don't hire him he's incompetent. He stumbled and stammered through our follow up conversation and then when asked why he failed to actually advocate on my behalf he asked me find another lawyer. Save yourself the headache. Just say nevermind to this guy.
