I recently hired RCVD to represent me for two court cases in separate counties related to traffic violations. They made the process very easy, and took care of everything. I will definitely use them again if/when i find myself in need of legal counsel.

I wish I had known from the beginning how difficult it would be to get a response from this attorney. He was quick to take my son's speeding ticket case in march and accept payment, but communication has been extremely poor ever since. My son's case was continued, I was never notified by the attorney or his office. Instead, I discovered the update myself while checking the court website. Since then, I have only been able to speak with the front office staff twice. The receptionist was polite and assured me that the attorney would email us with the next steps. I also expressed my concerns about not receiving any calls or emails back. Despite those assurances, we have still not received any communication. It is now June, I have continued trying to call the office, but now no one answers the phone. The lack of communication and follow-up has been very disappointing and unprofessional. Don't waste your time with him. I will have to contact the court myself now since these people don't answer the phone or emails.

Mr. Sharpe neglected to update my plea agreement to reflect the weekends the Judge and Commonwealth attorney agreed to honor at court. I spent an additional month (28 full days) in Roanoke City Detention because of Mr. Sharpe's negligence. It cost me $2500 to plea to a felony. A deferred sentence that began 1/9. and ultimately totaled 61 days in Roanoke City Detention. Based on what Mr. Sharpe had promised, I would serve "a few days" and then begin weekends. Because of this erroneous information, I, and my partner, planned for 1 month of incarceration. When he was contacted multiple times after the release date he provided (2/6) , he didn't return any calls. When my partner actually went downtown to his office, he told my partner that he had spoken with the "Sheriff" to confirm my release date. I wasn't released until 3/5. This caused me to have to explain to my children that I made another mistake with my choice of lawyer. Also, because I had only planned for a "few days", bills went unpaid. The utilities were disrupted, interest on credit cards was incurred, mother and children missed appointments. All these were scheduled after my "few days" that Mr. Sharpe had explained to me (all appointments had been rescheduled based on the time frame Mr. Sharpe provided.

Instead, I sat in the Roanoke City Detention Center for 2 full months. While my children, partner, and mother struggled to literally keep themselves alive.

Call David Lawrence, call Patrick Kenney, call anyone other than this lying clown. In fact, in my extensive time spent watching others in jail, one would be better off using the Public Defender offered. At least one of those guys will return your calls. This man is a sorry excuse.
