My friend's company is being sued in the bankruptcy court, he never experienced something like this before and he's so worried. So I forwarded the court document he received to this firm (simply because they practice bankruptcy laws in Delaware and they do represent defendants) on Apr 28th, and confirmed receipt on the 29th.

Since then, I have reached out to them numerous times, by both phone and email, because I know my friend desperately needs the following questions answered asap:

Is there anything they need to do right now?

How much time do they have? When will be the deadline to file an answer, reply, opposition, or anything?

What documents do they need to prepare now, for a meaningful discussion with an attorney later on?

I think these are just some reasonable questions, yet every time I called this firm I was told the following:

I don't know.
I already passed the message.
I don't know when they will contact you.
I can't tell you who is handling this matter.
I can't tell you what to do, you have to wait for a reply and I don't know when it will happen.
I will let them know you called again.

As of this moment, no one from this office ever gave me a call or responded to my email, not even a one-sentence reply which tells me how much time they need to review the case.

Simply no response whatsoever, seems like I've been talking to a wall all along.

If this deal is too small and this firm thinks they are too good for that, at least let me know so I can move on but they can't even do that.

Is this the way law offices handle inquiries nowadays? What a shockingly horrible experience.
