My father retained Richard busey before him and my mother passed away Richard busey did a will for him when my mother and father died and he was supposed to put the house and we paid him for it and my granddaughter Angel loves name it never happened he was paid for it and it never happened still to this day 3 years later after phone call after phone call speaking to him talking to the county assessor's office it still hasn't happened he thinks because he turned in the paperwork that everything is okay but it got rejected so he will not look any further than that but the house is still in my parents' name and needs to come out poor poor lawyer sad lawyer he knows there's nothing you can do about it so he'll do what he wants I'm contemplating channel 2 News

Poor Communication and Negligence – Very Disappointing Experience

Richard P. Busse Attorney at Law
From the beginning, communication was inconsistent and unprofessional. I often had to follow up multiple times just to get a basic update on my case.

Most concerning, my case was misplaced for three weeks with no explanation, causing unnecessary delays and stress. Even worse, when the attorney went on medical leave, no one from the office contacted me to inform me. I only found out through the opposing attorney — which was both unprofessional and incredibly frustrating.

Deadlines were missed or poorly handled, and I felt that my concerns were dismissed rather than addressed. I expected a certain level of competence and transparency, especially given the importance of the legal matter at hand. Unfortunately, I felt neglected, frustrated, and ultimately let down by the way my case was handled.

I do not recommend this attorney based on my experience and would encourage others to look elsewhere for reliable legal representation.

!!!UPDATE!!! on July 28, 2025 - I have asked this Attorney week after week for my refund since my Google review two months ago. He finally sent me a check in the middle of June. The check he sent me BOUNCED! People, please take extreme caution with this guy (calling him an Attorney at this point is very much unworthy). If by reading all the "so called" 4 star & above ratings he gets, then, why does a simple $500.00 refund seem like asking him to move mountains. If this law firm is so great, why does a simple $500.00 refund seem so challenging. People, the TRUE reviews are experiences alike MINE because I guarantee you, I'm not alone. Read the reviews, you'll find plenty of them. I still can't believe he sent me a check that bounced LOLOLOLOL!!! Wow!!!

Please read below the timeline of events that's the root cause to this entire infuriating experience.

I, a Marine Corps Veteran, hired Attorney Richard Busse for Probate representation on March 07, 2025 by way of a paid $500.00 retainer. As of May 06, 2025, & effective immediately, I terminated our attorney / client relationship via phone call & email due to lack of representation.

Attorney Richard Busse chose email as a primary path of communication.

On February 27, 2025, I sent via email details of my deceased parents information corresponding to Probate, case in point, Attorney Richard Busse thanked me for the information

On March 25, 2025, I emailed Attorney Richard Busse to get an update on my case & to ask a question regarding my case, hence I never got briefed on any details whatsoever during a stressful & emotional time in our lives.

On April 02, 2025, I emailed Attorney Richard Busse to get an update on my case & to ask a question regarding my case. He replied (via email) that the office was closed due to Power & Internet outages.

On April 30 & May 02, 2025 I emailed Attorney Richard Busse to get a petition / case number to my case. No response.

On May 06, 2025, Attorney Richard Busse emailed me informing that I never sent any information for my case.

Completely unacceptable to me & my family that it just two minutes to get paid & over two months for Attorney Richard Busse to let me know he had no information for my case (which he was clearly provided with).

Since May 06, 2025, I’ve been asking for a refund of my $500.00. No response whatsoever to what has clearly been an unfair ordeal.

Moving Forward, a fair gesture of a refund of $500.00 would bring a balanced closure to this melancholic experience.

Can anyone direct me how to file with the Indiana Bar Association for a well being checkbon this attorney. Its Weekend at Bernies in regards to communications

All I needed was a simple bankruptcy filing. I ask questions and nobody replies. I turn documents in. No response.
I don't suggest this attorney.
As of 7/24/25 I am severing our client/ attorney relationship. I have emailed this to you and left you a phone message.
I am also requesting my $500 back.
